Print Ad Policy

We know the realities of your business shift quickly so an ad opportunity might come up with little notice. In order for your request to be completed in a timely manner, we want to remind you of our process, the standard turnaround times, and your options for when you need to #MoveFast.


You booked a print ad. Now what?

How to ensure a smooth process when requesting a print ad:

  1. BE PROACTIVE: If you know of upcoming ads, email marketing@compass.com to set up a meeting to discuss a proactive approach. It’s never too soon to make a plan!

  2. REQUEST 7 DAYS PRIOR TO DEADLINE (OR MORE): Work with marketing at least 7 days prior to the due date to develop ad brief for the designer.

  3. CONSOLIDATE ASSETS: An organized system, like a Google folder or spreadsheet, for your images and copy is helpful in moving fast. These assets should be compiled at the time of request.

  4. KNOW HOW TO EXPEDITE: Marketing can still help if your ad is due less than 7 days from now. Read below for how to expedite your ad if it’s due in 7 days, 3-6 days or 2 days.


Turnaround Times

Every custom designed marketing project goes through the process of intake, initial design (round 1), reviews, and delivery of final asset. For print ads, our standard turnaround times are 5 days for an initial round and 10 for final artwork.

We know from time-to-time you may have the opportunity to advertise on shorter notice. Read below for our policy on emergency requests!

Expedited Print Ad Policy - 7 business days prior to deadline

If you request a print ad at least 7 days prior to the due date, we can still create a custom ad for you!

Requirements:

  • All content and assets are submitted to marketing@compass.com at time of request, 7 days prior to deadline

  • Includes 2 rounds of reviews (not 3 per the standard 10 day turnaround time) 

  • Requires timely feedback from agent between rounds (24 hours or less) 

  • Final agent feedback must be received 24-48 hours prior to deadline. Feedback at this point can include copy and image changes. If the layout of the ad needs to be altered 24-48 hours prior to the deadline, then the agent must pick a layout from a library of ad options 

  • We recommend working on a brief for the ad with an MA prior to 7 days to make sure all information is complete

**Please keep in mind that the publication due date is often prior to the ad running.

Expedited Print Ad Policy - 3-6 business days prior to deadline

If you need to request a print ad 3-6 days prior to deadline, we will not design a custom ad, but we can still help you out!

Requirements:

  • All content and assets are submitted to marketing@compass.com at time of request, 3-6 days prior to deadline

  • We will swap content from one of your previous ads or you can select an ad layout from a library of ad options

  • All agent feedback must be received 24 hours before ad deadline; Feedback at this point can include copy and image changes (no layout changes)

**Please keep in mind that the publication due date is often prior to the ad running.

Expedited Print Ad Policy - 2 business days prior to deadline

If you need to request a print ad 48 hours prior to deadline, you have two options:

  • OPTION 1: Re-run an existing ad. Marketing can update the price, but that’s the only allowable change. Include the ad you’d like to re-run in your request to marketing@compass, at least 48 hours prior to deadline

  • OPTION 2: Choose from a library of ads about Concierge or Compass Coming Soon. Include which program you’d like to promote in your request to marketing@compass.com, at least 48 hours prior to deadline
